The Detroit Pistons have put themselves in the driver's seat of their Eastern Conference semifinal series, taking a commanding 2-0 lead over the Cleveland Cavaliers with a hard-fought 107-97 victory in Game 2 at Little Caesars Arena.

After controlling much of the game, the Pistons faced their biggest test early in the fourth quarter when the Cavaliers stormed back with a 6-0 run to take an 81-79 lead. The crowd responded with thunderous "Let's Go Pistons" chants, and the home team answered the call.

Duncan Robinson and Tobias Harris sparked the comeback, combining for 38 points, with Robinson knocking down five of the Pistons' 14 three-pointers. But it was Cade Cunningham who took over down the stretch, scoring 14 of his game-high 25 points in the final five minutes to seal the win.

The Cavaliers got a strong performance from Donovan Mitchell, who poured in 31 points with 16 coming in the second half. Jarrett Allen bounced back from a quiet Game 1 with 22 points and seven rebounds. However, James Harden struggled mightily, shooting just 3-of-12 from the field and committing four turnovers, including a costly one late in the fourth quarter forced by Ausur Thompson's stifling defense.

With the series now shifting to Cleveland for Games 3 and 4, the Pistons have put themselves in prime position to advance. A 2-0 series lead is historically a strong indicator of success in the NBA playoffs, and Detroit will look to continue their momentum on the road.
