SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Jake Dees, pick up man at the San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo, sat down with Senora Scott for an interview at the 2026 San Angelo Rodeo.
Dees talked about what a day at the Rodeo entails for him.
“Get up, go feed horses and stuff,” Dees said. “Tommorow we’ll start sorting at 9 o’clock in the morning. We’ll start sorting at 9 and then haul everything over to the coliseum.”

Dees also talked about the pressure of sorting animals and being in the arena.
“It’s kind of a little bit of pressure,” Dees said. “You’re sorting all their animals. You don’t want to mess up and hurt something, so it’s pretty important.”
Dees added that his job takes a lot of preparation, so that when he is working the rodeo, “it doesn’t affect you as much.”
