The Oklahoma City Thunder's 2025-26 regular season came to a close on Sunday, but not with the fireworks fans might have hoped for. In a game where playoff seeding was already decided for both sides, the Phoenix Suns delivered a decisive 135-103 statement victory.
While the final score told a one-sided story, the game provided a final showcase for individual performances. For the Thunder, rookie guard Nikola Topic flashed his playmaking vision with 18 points and 14 assists, while Branden Carlson dominated the interior with a 26-point, 10-rebound double-double. Payton Sandfort provided a spark off the bench with 23 points.
The Suns' offensive firepower, however, was simply too much. Jamaree Bouyea led all scorers with 27 points and nine assists, demonstrating the backcourt speed that makes Phoenix so dangerous. The Suns' depth was on full display, with Ryan Dunn (20 points, 11 rebounds) and Koby Brea (20 points) also making major contributions.
Though the loss stings, the Thunder now turn their full attention to the postseason. Check out the best images from the season finale, capturing the intensity and athleticism that define the NBA, even in a game with little at stake.
