PHOENIX — With the regular season coming to an end, the Phoenix Suns will now look toward the play-in tournament as they take on the Portland Trail Blazers at home on Tuesday.

The Suns would have either played the Trail Blazers or the Los Angeles Clippers, pending the results of their games by the end of Sunday night. With Portland’s 122-110 win over the Sacramento Kings and holding the tiebreaker over Los Angeles, they secured the No. 8 seed to face the Suns.
Phoenix’s tournament appearance, just one season after completely missing the play-in with a losing record, has shown the formula that has worked for them this season. After their 135-103 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder to close the year, they finished the season 44-37 — a contrast to their 36-36 record from the 2024-25 campaign.

Over the course of the 2025-26 season, the Suns and Trail Blazers have met three times, with Phoenix taking two of the three matchups.
