Pro Football Focus has become one of the most influential voices in breaking down rookie classes, using detailed grading to separate hype from early production. Now, with PFF’s initial grades in hand, there’s a clearer picture of how the Los Angeles Rams draft selections stack up—not just in terms of long-term potential, but based on what they’ve already put on film.

PFF: Simpson earned a 87.7 overall PFF grade in the 2025 season, 32nd among 302 qualified quarterbacks. His PFF passing grade of 84.7 ranked 32nd at the position.

Through 479 dropbacks, he threw for 3,282 yards and 27 touchdowns against 4 interceptions. He recorded 29 big-time throws and 14 turnover-worthy plays, reflecting his decision-making under pressure.

He operated with an average depth of target of 8.9 yards and an average time to throw of 2.94 seconds. On the ground, Simpson added 189 scramble yards and 2 rushing touchdowns.

PFF: Klare earned a 72.3 overall PFF grade in the 2025 season, 33rd among 199 qualified tight ends. His PFF receiving grade of 69.8 ranked 60th among 199 qualified tight ends.

He hauled in 41 receptions on 53 targets for 420 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns. Klare averaged 10.2 yards per reception on the season.

He generated 201 yards after the catch, demonstrating his ability to create with the ball in his hands. He was charged with 2 drops on the year. His average depth of target was 7.1 yards, reflecting his role in the passing attack.

PFF: Trost earned a 92.4 overall PFF grade in the 2025 season, 1st among 632 qualified offensive tackles. He played 834 offensive snaps on the season.

His PFF pass-blocking grade of 85.4 ranked 11th among 632 qualified offensive tackles. His run-blocking grade of 91.7 ranked 1st at the position.

He allowed 6 total pressures in pass protection. That total included 1 sacks and 2 hits allowed to opposing pass rushers. He was flagged for 3 penalties over the course of the season.

There were only 2 offensive players in the FBS last season with a higher overall grade than new Rams OT Keagen Trost last year– Jeremiyah Love– Julian SayinBoth were Heisman finalists (stat via NFL Network) https://t.co/lT7baRYqrv

PFF: Daniels earned a 74.0 overall PFF grade in the 2025 season, 165th among 679 qualified wide receivers. His PFF receiving grade of 75.3 ranked 158th among 679 qualified wide receivers.

He hauled in 37 receptions on 48 targets for 420 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns. Daniels averaged 11.4 yards per reception on the season.

PFF: Keenan earned a 68.0 overall PFF defensive grade in the 2025 season, 363rd among 887 qualified interior defensive linemans. His PFF pass-rush grade of 62.9 ranked 336th among 887 qualified interior defensive linemans. His run-defense grade of 71.1 ranked 337th at the position.

He generated 9 total pressures as a pass rusher. That total included 3 sacks, 6 hurries, 0 hits. Against the run, he recorded 7 solo tackles. He also forced 1 fumbles on the season.

The Rams may have found solid talent with their five picks. Ty Simpson and Keagan Trost appear to be the most NFL ready. However, Ty Simpson will obviously be sitting behind Matthew Stafford until the franchise quarterback retires. Max Klare, CJ Daniels, and Tim Keenan all have upside but have a few deficiencies in their game to work on before finding themselves on the field at the NFL level.
