Chicago Cubs outfielder Pete Crow-Armstrong cannot stop talking about Los Angeles Dodgers fans, continuing to take aim at the stadium crowds and the fanbase as a whole.
Crow-Armstrong is facing off against the Dodgers for the first time since calling out the fanbase for their behavior at the stadium and their fandom.
“I love Chicago more and more. It’s just an incredible city. The people are great,” Crow-Armstrong said back in the preseason.
“They aren’t just baseball fans who go to the game like Dodgers fans to take pictures and whatever. They are paying attention. They care.”
On Friday, for the Cubs’ game against the Dodgers, Crow-Armstrong naturally got a chorus of boos from the fans throughout the night, something that fans will not be stopping throughout the series and likely, for years to come, when he plays at Dodger Stadium.
The Cub grew up in Los Angeles and attended multiple Dodgers games, becoming a fan of individual Dodgers players rather than the team as a whole.
However, while taking time to praise Cubs fans, he decided to stoke a rivalry with Dodgers fans, which he continued right before Friday’s game.
“What I wish people could see through is, I’m not getting at die-hard Dodger fans,” he said to LA Times’ Maddie Lee.
“They obviously exist, they’re out there. I grew up seeing those people, too, but it’s a see-me city, man. It’s a Lakers city where people show up to sit courtside and look good. And I view it the same way here.”
Crow-Armstrong ended up scoring twice on Friday, one of which came after he lined a single from Tanner Scott that set up Dansby Swanson for the game-winning home run.
While walking to home plate, he took some extra time and yelled at Dodger fans after the game, continuing to trade bars with the fans.
“If we’re going to be immature and childish about it. I’d say they started it, they just gave me an opportunity to kind of run with it,” PCA added.
He is having a terrible season at the plate in 2026 compared to his success during the first half of 2025. Roki Sasaki will try to quell Crow-Armstrong on Saturday and help the Dodgers get back on the winning track, hoping to take home the series.
