Petar Musa is making a serious case for MLS Golden Boot honors. The FC Dallas striker scored his league-leading 10th goal of the season on Saturday night, powering his team to a much-needed 2-0 victory over the New York Red Bulls and snapping a four-match winless streak.

Musa broke the deadlock in the 54th minute with a moment of pure class. On a quick counter-attack, Ran Binyamin threaded a perfect entry pass from just outside the penalty arc, and Musa charged onto it, sliding to meet the ball with a first-touch finish from the right corner of the six-yard box. The 28-year-old entered the match tied with Nashville's Sam Surridge for the most goals in MLS—now he stands alone at the top.

Dallas doubled their lead in the 88th minute when 2025 MLS Next Pro MVP Samuel Sarver scored his first career MLS goal. Sarver connected on a header from a Logan Farrington cross, directing it into a wide-open net to seal the result.

The Red Bulls, who controlled 61% of possession, simply couldn't find a way through. Dallas outshot them 12-7 and, more importantly, held them to zero shots on target. New York has now gone five straight matches without a win (3-5-3).

For Dallas, this performance shows their attack is clicking at just the right time—and Musa is leading the charge in style.
