As the 2026 college football season inches closer, the Penn State Nittany Lions are riding a wave of momentum that rivals their recent College Football Playoff run. With a favorable schedule ahead and a recruiting hot streak that has the nation watching, the program is making bold moves to secure its future—starting with an aggressive push for the Class of 2028.

Just yesterday, Penn State landed a major commitment from four-star running back Aiden Gibson, but the coaching staff isn't stopping there. This week, the Nittany Lions sent out a flurry of offers to some of the top young talents in the country. While their 2027 recruiting class has already climbed among the nation's best, the focus is now shifting to building an even stronger foundation for 2028.

Among the standout prospects receiving offers is Michel Adams, a four-star edge rusher from Delaware. Already drawing comparisons to elite pass rushers, Adams is a physical force at 6-foot-6, 240 pounds—and he's still just a sophomore. A two-way player who also lines up at offensive tackle in high school, Adams is expected to specialize on defense at the college level. His announcement came just before Gibson's commitment, adding to the buzz around Penn State's recruiting efforts.

Linebacker is another area of focus for the Nittany Lions, who are looking to bolster depth at the position. Four-star recruit Jameer Miles recently announced he received an offer from Penn State after a productive conversation with coach Terry Smith. Miles is one of several top-tier prospects being targeted as the program works to fill key gaps in its future roster.

With the 2028 class still in its early stages, Penn State is laying the groundwork for sustained success. Each offer and commitment is a step toward keeping the Nittany Lions competitive on the national stage—and their fans have plenty of reasons to be excited about what's ahead.
