The Penn Relays got under way on Thursday at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with a full slate of events from the high school, college, and master's levels of competition.

Now, it's the high school boys' turn to get on track and take the field.

There won't be as many boys events on Friday as there was for the girls on Thursday, but there's still plenty of events on tap with the 4X800 and 4X100 preliminary heats along with the championships in the field events.

And the competition on the girls' side will also wrap up with several championship finals scheduled for the afternoon.

This year marks the 130th running of the Penn Relays, an event that dates back to April 21, 1895. It's the oldest track and field competition staged in the United States with more than 15,000 athletes competing annually and at least 100,000 spectators regularly attending across the event's three days.

The high school portion of the Penn Relays will continue through Saturday when the final boys events are staged including the 4X400 relays.

The 2026 Penn Relays will not be broadcast on television. Instead, fans can stream the action exclusively on FloTrack all weekend.

Events in both track and field will be staged simultaneously beginning at 9 a.m. Friday, April 24.
