The Pittsburgh Penguins know they have to get back on track in a hurry.

Pittsburgh suffered a 3-0 shutout loss to the Philadelphia Flyers in Game 2 to go down 2-0 in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. It was a frustrating game for the Penguins as star defenseman Erik Karlsson said the team was outplayed for the second straight game.

“We got outplayed for two games at home, it hurts,” Karlsson said postgame on Monday. “But we got no one else to blame but ourselves, and all we can do is take care of that and move forward.”

The Penguins find themselves in a hole early, but Pittsburgh did have its chances in the third period, and captain Sidney Crosby believes that’s something the team can build on.

"I thought we just had a little bit more urgency,” Crosby said. “We played in their end a little bit more, generated some really good looks, had a couple of really good chances there. We've got to build off that. It wasn't the difference tonight but if we carry that over, maybe that's something that we can feed off of, for sure.”

Although it is a best-of-seven, the Penguins know Game 3 is as must-win as it gets, and Pittsburgh believes they will give their best effort.

Game 3 is set for Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET in Philadelphia.
