Olympic champion Adam Peaty sent a powerful message to the swimming world, securing the 100m breaststroke title at the Aquatics GB Swimming Championships in London. This victory marks a significant first step in his ambitious journey toward a fourth Olympic Games at LA 2028.

The three-time gold medalist, now 31, faced a thrilling challenge from the next generation, holding off teenagers Filip Nowacki and Max Morgan to win in 58.97 seconds. His time stands as the second-fastest in the world this year, a clear signal that the legendary breaststroker is far from finished.

Peaty's win, alongside Nowacki's second-place finish, secured their spots on the GB team for this summer's European Aquatics Championships in Paris. However, Peaty's focus is firmly on the long game. "I'm not talking about this year, it's about LA for me," he stated, acknowledging the talented young swimmers pushing him every step of the way.

His renewed drive is fueled by the exciting addition of the 50m breaststroke to the 2028 Olympic program. This gives Peaty a fresh opportunity to add another individual gold to the 100m titles he claimed in Rio and Tokyo, reigniting his competitive fire after a period away from the sport that included getting married.

While Peaty's story headlined the night, other British stars also shone. James Guy triumphed in the 400m freestyle, Imogen Clark won the 50m breaststroke, and Eva Okaro took the 100m freestyle title, showcasing the depth of talent on display at the championships.
