Paulo Costa is wasting no time calling out Khamzat Chimaev after the biggest shocker of UFC 328. The Brazilian middleweight—and occasional light heavyweight—has fired off a series of taunts aimed at "Borz," following Chimaev's stunning split-decision loss to Sean Strickland in Newark, New Jersey.

Chimaev, who put his middleweight title on the line, dominated the first round with his usual suffocating ground game. But Strickland found his rhythm in the second and third, turning the fight into a gritty chess match that ultimately swung the judges' scorecards. It was Chimaev's first professional loss, and the MMA world is still buzzing.

Costa, who has a history of bad blood with Chimaev, didn't hold back. He posted an AI-generated video of himself knocking out Chimaev in a sauna—a nod to their infamous 2022 altercation at the UFC Performance Institute. Back then, Chimaev allegedly confronted Costa while he was training, with UFC veteran Jake Shields claiming Chimaev was "putting on an act for the cameras."

"Gourmet Chechen, next time nobody will stop me from ripping your skin off!" Costa wrote, referencing Chimaev's nickname. He added, "Gourmet Chechen failed, give me that poodle, we won't reach a decision."

The timing is perfect. UFC president Dana White confirmed that Chimaev (15-1) told him he wants to move up to light heavyweight after the loss. Costa (16-4), who has been splitting his time between 185 and 205 pounds, is ready to welcome him to the division. "Gourmet Chen chen isn't ready for the SECRET JUICE 205 POWER," Costa warned.

For Costa, this isn't just talk. He's riding a two-fight winning streak, including upset victories over Russian prospects Roman Kopylov and Azamat Murzakanov. A showdown with Chimaev at light heavyweight would be a massive draw—and a chance for Costa to prove he's more than just a middleweight contender.
