The New England Patriots locker room is rallying around head coach Mike Vrabel as he navigates a personal scandal that has shaken the organization. Quarterback Drake Maye has finally broken his silence, offering a powerful show of support for his embattled coach.

"We're here for Coach, we love Coach," Maye told a local news station. "What he's done for us this past year, you can't put into words. I'm thankful he's our head coach. I know he's dealing with some stuff off the field and outside of coaching, but we're here for him, and I know he's going to come back."

Maye, famously married to his high school sweetheart Ann Michael Maye, has a wholesome reputation that stands in stark contrast to the rumors swirling around Vrabel. His public endorsement adds significant weight to the team's united front.

The Patriots star isn't standing alone. Tight end Hunter Henry and linebacker Robert Spillane have also stepped up to defend their coach. Henry praised Vrabel's approach to addressing the situation with the team, noting, "It's been the same Vrabes, bringing a lot of energy in the room. Obviously, he addressed it, and that's kind of all I'll say about it."

Spillane, who played under Vrabel with the Tennessee Titans in 2018, emphasized that the coach is keeping the focus on football inside the facility. Still, the veteran linebacker made it personal: "I love Coach, and I'm going to be here to support him as he would be there to support me through anything. I'm just a player trying to do that the best I can."

The scandal erupted when Dianna Russini resigned from The Athletic amid reports of an inappropriate relationship with Vrabel. The Patriots coach missed Day 3 of the NFL Draft to seek counseling and spend time with his family. As the team prepares for the upcoming season, the message from the locker room is clear: they have their coach's back, no matter what.
