Mike Vrabel cleared the air with Patriots players about his drama involving NFL insider Dianna Russini, but what did he say?

In case you've somehow missed it, the New York Post recently released exclusive photos of Vrabel and Russini, both of whom are married, together at a luxurious resort in Sedona, Ariz. Both parties claimed they were at the resort with friend groups, but neither has publicly shared any evidence, and Russini's inability to do so led to her recent resignation from The Athletic.

Vrabel on Tuesday finally addressed the situation publicly while meeting with reporters. He didn't reveal much, but he did say that he spoke with players behind closed doors before talking to the press. Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated later offered insight into what Vrabel said to his players.

"My understanding is that he led with it, as he stood in front of them Monday, quickly apologizing for bringing unwanted attention to the team," Breer wrote. "He promised that he’d make it right and do all he could to put the focus back on the players. To those in the room, he came off as genuine and remorseful, and maybe most of all, relatable."

Additionally, Mike Giardi of Boston Sports Journal provided intel on how Vrabel has acted differently behind the scenes since the controversy broke. You can click here to read more about that.

Whether Vrabel eventually begins behaving like his old self remains to be seen. But this story has legs and isn't going away anytime soon -- despite Robert Kraft's best efforts.

Nevertheless, New England's primary focus is on the 2026 NFL Draft, which begins Thursday night.
