Patriots wide receiver Romeo Doubs isn't circling the scheduled 2026 matchup against the Packers.

When Romeo Doubs looks at the New England Patriots' 2026 schedule, he isn't circling the Green Bay Packers game with revenge on his mind—and he wants everyone to know it.

The Patriots wide receiver, who signed with New England this offseason after four seasons in Green Bay, made it clear that his departure from the Packers was never personal. "Green Bay took care of me," Doubs said, as reported by Sports Illustrated. "It wouldn't be a reason for me to have that type of pressure against them, because again, my career started there."

Drafted by the Packers in the fourth round (No. 132 overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft, Doubs established himself as a reliable target over 59 games, hauling in 202 catches for 2,424 yards and 21 touchdowns. He credits his time in Green Bay for teaching him the fundamentals of the game. "They taught me the foundation of football, how football works, situational football," he added. "Just understanding complimentary football, how teams can be, just the overall game in general. They showed me the ropes."

For Doubs, signing with the Patriots was about making the best decision for himself and his family—nothing more. He didn't even realize the two teams were scheduled to meet in 2026, and he insists there's no extra motivation. "It's not even like that," he said.

Now, Doubs is focused on bringing that same dependability and consistency to a Patriots offense that found its rhythm under offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels last season. With third-year quarterback Drake Maye at the helm, the veteran wide receiver has a chance to shine in New England's evolving passing attack.

For Patriots fans, Doubs' professionalism and team-first attitude are exactly the kind of qualities that build a winning culture—no revenge narratives needed.
