Atletico Madrid are digging in their heels over Julian Alvarez this summer, but the transfer tug-of-war is far from over. While the Spanish giants have repeatedly stated they have no intention of selling their star forward—despite persistent links to Barcelona—a new heavyweight contender has entered the ring: Paris Saint-Germain.

Barcelona have been circling Alvarez for weeks, but they're playing the waiting game, hoping the player himself will push for a move to strengthen their hand. PSG, however, aren't waiting around. The French champions are already deep in talks with Atletico, and the price tag reportedly hovers around a staggering €150 million.

According to Diario AS, PSG have sweetened the pot by offering two players as part of any potential deal. Initially keen to keep hold of South Korean winger Kang-In Lee, the Parisians are now open to including him in negotiations. The other name on the table? Portuguese forward Goncalo Ramos—a logical direct replacement for Alvarez up front. Both players could head to the Wanda Metropolitano if the green light is given.

Atletico's Sporting Director, Mateu Alemany, is said to be a fan of both. Los Colchoneros tried to sign Kang-In back in January, only for PSG boss Luis Enrique to block the move. Now, with the 2028-contracted star reportedly seeking more playing time, the path could be clearer. Alemany also rates Ramos highly, though the Portuguese striker has attracted interest from elsewhere.

The big question remains: does Alvarez want to leave? So far, he's kept his cards close to his chest, refusing to publicly commit his future to Atletico. As the summer window heats up, this saga could become one of the defining transfers of the season.
