With the 19th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft the Carolina Panthers have selected Georgia tackle Monroe Freeling. He should be viewed as the long term replacement for Taylor Moton and an excellent depth piece on an offensive line unit that is almost always in flux.

Freeling has the size and versatility to play both sides, setting the Panthers up well for a future where they have questions at both offensive tackle positions. He’s young and not the most experienced first round pick, but he fits the best of both worlds idea for the Panthers: he has time to develop as a back up, but can start in a pinch to keep them competitive in 2026.
