The Green Bay Packers will avoid playing an international game during the 2026 regular season.

The Green Bay Packers will be staying close to home for the 2026 regular season—no passport required. The NFL unveiled its full nine-game international schedule on Wednesday, and the Packers are notably absent from the lineup, meaning they won't face the New Orleans Saints in Paris or the Detroit Lions in Munich.

Instead, Green Bay will enjoy a full slate of nine home games at the legendary Lambeau Field, plus eight traditional road games. The complete regular season schedule drops Thursday, giving fans plenty to look forward to without any overseas travel.

Two of the Packers' NFC North rivals will be making international trips, though. The Lions head to Munich to take on the New England Patriots, while the Minnesota Vikings will face the San Francisco 49ers in Mexico City. Both games are set for November, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the division race.

Packers president Ed Policy recently hinted that the Lions may have blocked Green Bay from being their opponent in Munich. That's a spicy subplot, especially since the two teams are still scheduled to meet twice in 2026—once at Lambeau and once at Ford Field. No international drama needed there.

With the Saints on the schedule as a road opponent, a trip to Paris seemed possible, but the Saints will instead host the Pittsburgh Steelers in France. So, no croissants or Eiffel Tower selfies for the Packers this time around.

This isn't the first time Green Bay has skipped the international stage. Their last overseas game was a Week 1 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil back in 2024, and they also fell to the New York Giants in London in 2022. For now, the Packers are keeping their focus on home turf.

Here's the full 2026 international slate for those keeping score:

  • Australia: Los Angeles Rams vs. San Francisco 49ers (Sept. 10)
  • London: Indianapolis Colts vs. Washington Commanders (Oct. 4)
  • London: Philadelphia Eagles vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (Oct. 11)
  • London: Houston Texans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (Oct. 18)
  • Paris: Pittsburgh Steelers vs. New Orleans Saints (Oct. 25)
  • Madrid: Cincinnati Bengals vs. Atlanta Falcons (Nov. 8)
  • Munich: New England Patriots vs. Detroit Lions (Nov. 15)
  • Mexico City: Minnesota Vikings vs. San Francisco 49ers (Nov. 22)
