The Green Bay Packers are breaking new ground this season—and they're doing it on a Wednesday night, just before Thanksgiving. While the Packers won't suit up for a fourth consecutive Thanksgiving Day game, they're still very much part of the NFL's holiday spotlight.
On Wednesday, Nov. 25, at 7 p.m. ET, the Packers will visit the Los Angeles Rams in what's being billed as the league's first-ever Thanksgiving Eve game. And in a sign of the times, this historic matchup will be streamed exclusively on Netflix, the streaming service announced May 13.
This marks only the second time in franchise history that Green Bay will play on a Wednesday. The last? Way back in September 1938, when they faced the Chicago Cardinals. Talk about a throwback.
As we count down to the full 2026 schedule release on May 14, the Packers' opponent list is already shaping up to be a gauntlet. Quarterback Jordan Love and company will face six teams that made the 2025 playoffs, including a trip to face the AFC champion New England Patriots. The schedule also pits Green Bay against the entire AFC East and NFC South divisions.
Three opponents will feature new head coaches—including a familiar face: former Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley, now leading the Miami Dolphins. And Green Bay's defense better be ready: they'll go up against the top six offenses from the 2025 season.
The Packers will enjoy nine home games and eight road games. Among the marquee matchups: Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills make their first Lambeau Field appearance since Allen's rookie season in 2018. The Bills, who boasted the fourth-ranked offense in 2025, are one of 10 teams with a new head coach this offseason.
Meanwhile, Hafley's Dolphins return to Lambeau in his first year at the helm. And Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys—owners of the second-ranked offense in 2025—will bring their explosive attack to Green Bay for the first time since... well, it's been a while.
Whether you're gearing up for this historic Wednesday night showdown or planning your wardrobe for the season ahead, one thing's for sure: the Packers' 2026 schedule is packed with must-watch moments. Stay tuned—the full schedule drops May 14.
