The Green Bay Packers have reshuffled their receiving corps, sending wideout Dontayvion Wicks to the Philadelphia Eagles. In return, the Packers bolster their future draft capital, acquiring a 2026 fifth-round pick and a 2027 sixth-round selection.

Wicks, who was entering the final year of his rookie deal, didn't just change teams—he secured his immediate future. Reports indicate he has also agreed to a new one-year, $12.5 million contract extension with the Eagles, giving him a fresh start in Philadelphia.

This move helps Green Bay manage a looming contract logjam. The Packers had five of their top seven receivers, including Christian Watson and Jayden Reed, scheduled for free agency after the 2026 season. Trading Wicks now provides clarity and resources as they build around their young offensive core.

With the draft approaching, Green Bay's receiver room now prominently features Watson, 2025 first-rounder Matthew Golden, Reed, Bo Melton, and others. The additional draft picks are particularly valuable as the Packers were previously without a 2026 first-rounder due to the Micah Parsons trade.
