The Green Bay Packers are bolstering their performance staff, hiring Jake Flint as the new assistant strength and conditioning coach. Flint arrives from LSU, where he served as the Director of Athletic Performance under head coach Brian Kelly.

This move connects several familiar threads in the football world. Flint is a longtime disciple of Brian Kelly, having worked on his staff since 2007 at Cincinnati, followed by 12 years at Notre Dame before joining him at LSU in 2021. Packers head coach Matt LaFleur also shares a history with Flint, as both were on Kelly's Notre Dame staff in 2014 when LaFleur coached quarterbacks.

Flint's nearly two decades of collegiate experience, focused on maximizing athlete potential, will now be tested in the NFL for the first time. He will work under Strength and Conditioning Coordinator Aaron Hill, who joined Green Bay in 2024.

The hiring addresses a critical need for the Packers, whose 2023 season was hampered by significant injuries. Adding a seasoned performance expert like Flint could be a key step in ensuring the team's talent stays on the field, building a stronger, more resilient roster for the challenges ahead.
