The Green Bay Packers added some serious depth to their secondary on Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft, selecting Alabama cornerback Domani Jackson in the sixth round. Jackson brings a rare combination of athleticism and pedigree that makes him one of the most intriguing late-round picks in this year's class.

Standing at 6-foot-¾ and weighing 194 pounds, Jackson has the kind of size NFL teams covet at cornerback. His 4.41-second 40-yard dash puts him in the 91st percentile among corners, and his Relative Athletic Score of 9.04 out of 10 draws comparisons to A.J. Terrell. Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst summed it up simply: "He's a rare athlete with his combination of size, explosiveness, and speed."

But Jackson's journey to the NFL hasn't been a straight line. Born in Oceanside, California, he moved frequently as a child due to his father's 22-year military career. He eventually landed at powerhouse Mater Dei High School, where he was ranked as a five-star recruit—behind only Travis Hunter among cornerbacks nationally. He initially committed to USC, flipping from Alabama at the last minute, before eventually transferring to Tuscaloosa to play for Nick Saban. (Saban retired within two weeks of Jackson's arrival, adding an unexpected twist to his college career.)

A knee injury suffered in his final high school season lingered into his first two college years, affecting his performance at USC. But Jackson showed steady improvement once healthy. His Pro Football Focus overall grade climbed each season from 2023 to 2025: 60.7 to 67.3 to 73.4. His coverage grade followed the same upward trend, jumping from 60 to 64.3 to 74.4, while his run defense remained consistently solid.

Now, Jackson will compete for a spot on the Packers' 53-man roster. The raw tools are undeniable—it's all about trusting his technique and putting it all together at the next level. For a sixth-round pick with this kind of athletic ceiling, the potential payoff could be huge.
