The Green Bay Packers made a pair of roster moves on Tuesday, adding depth to their 90-man roster by claiming cornerback M.J. Devonshire and tight end Luke Lachey off waivers.
Devonshire, a 2024 seventh-round pick by the Las Vegas Raiders, was waived by the Buffalo Bills earlier this week. The young defensive back has had a winding NFL journey, with stints in Carolina and Baltimore, though he has yet to appear in a regular season game. At 5-foot-11 and 185 pounds, he brings versatility and ball skills—traits that could help him compete for a spot in Green Bay's secondary.
Lachey, meanwhile, was a seventh-round selection by the Houston Texans in 2025. The 6-foot-6 tight end spent his entire rookie season on the Texans' practice squad before being waived Monday to make room for running back Evan Hull. For a Packers team that values tight end production, Lachey's size and potential make him an intriguing developmental piece.
Both players will now have a chance to prove themselves in Green Bay's offseason program, as the Packers continue to fine-tune their roster ahead of training camp.
