Orlando is set to take center stage on the global sports scene once again, this time as a host city for the 2028 Olympic Q-Series. This exciting qualifying series, which first debuted in 2024, will span four international stops, bringing together six dynamic sports in a thrilling build-up to the LA28 Games.

The Q-Series schedule kicks off in Tokyo from May 4-7, 2028, followed by Shanghai from May 11-14. The action then moves to Montreal from June 1-4, before culminating in Orlando from June 8-11. Notably, the Orlando stop will take place just one month before the LA28 Games officially begin, making it a final, high-stakes proving ground for athletes.

The six sports featured across these events are a mix of Olympic staples and newer, high-energy additions: 3x3 basketball, beach volleyball, BMX freestyle, climbing, flag football, and skateboarding. Each stop will host a selection of these sports, with the full program for each city to be announced later.

This isn't Orlando's first brush with Olympic history. The city previously hosted the 2024 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials and even served as a venue for preliminary soccer matches during the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. With the LA28 Games set to be the largest Olympics ever, featuring 351 medal events, the Q-Series promises to be an electrifying preview of world-class competition.
