In a major recruiting win for the Oregon Ducks, four-star offensive tackle Cameron Wagner has officially committed to the program, announcing his decision Monday afternoon. The standout from Saint Joseph Ogden High School in Illinois chose the Ducks over a star-studded list of finalists including Illinois, Notre Dame, and Wisconsin.

Wagner becomes the 13th commit in head coach Dan Lanning's 2027 recruiting class, which is already shaping up as one of the nation's best. The Ducks currently sit at No. 8 in the Rivals team rankings, and Wagner's pledge adds significant firepower to an already impressive haul.

"The biggest reason? It's a simple answer: the coaching staff and the guys on the team there. I feel I can fit in and thrive as a player and as a person," Wagner said of his decision.

Offensive line coach A'lique Terry played a pivotal role in securing Wagner's commitment, beating out top-tier programs from coast to coast. Wagner expressed strong confidence in Terry's ability to develop his game at the next level. "I have confidence in Coach Terry to develop me as a player. That offensive line room—they're all great coaches there. They have a big offensive line staff," he added.

The blue-chip recruit is also buying into the trajectory of an Oregon program that captured the Big Ten championship two seasons ago and advanced to the College Football Playoff semifinals last fall. "I think Coach Lanning is the best coach in college football and can develop anyone into a great player," Wagner said.

Wagner joins fellow offensive line commits Gus Corsair and Avery Michael in the Ducks' 2027 class, giving Oregon a formidable trio in the trenches. According to the Rivals Industry rankings, Wagner is rated as the nation's No. 26 offensive tackle and the No. 289 overall prospect in the country. For Ducks fans, this commitment signals that Oregon's recruiting momentum is showing no signs of slowing down.
