The Oregon Ducks have scored another major victory on the recruiting trail, securing a commitment from four-star interior offensive lineman Gus Corsair out of Hays, Kansas. The 6-foot-3, 300-pound powerhouse chose the Ducks over Miami and Vanderbilt, adding a key piece to their 2027 class.
Corsair, who announced his decision just a day after narrowing his list to three finalists, cited Oregon's exceptional offensive line development program as a deciding factor. "I would say how many offensive line coaches they have," he told ScoopDuck. "They have six O-line coaches, which is huge for development. I'm very excited about the opportunity to play at Oregon because of the relationships, place, and development I would receive."
The Ducks' relentless pursuit paid off, with offensive line coach A'lique Terry sealing the deal during an in-home visit earlier this week. Corsair, who racked up over 20 Power 4 offers during his recruitment, made it clear what he's looking for in a program: "I'm looking for a school that's going to develop me to be a great football player and a great person. I wanna go somewhere and compete for National Championships."
Ranked as the No. 313 overall prospect and No. 21 interior offensive lineman in the 2027 cycle by the Rivals Industry Ranking, Corsair also stands as the second-best player in Kansas. With his blend of size, strength, and a championship mindset, he's poised to become a cornerstone of Oregon's future offensive line—a unit that continues to draw top talent from across the country.
