In the latest installment of OneFootball's collaboration with Shoot Music, we sit down with musicians to dive into their football fandom. This week, we're joined by singer and devoted Manchester City supporter, Felix Green.
When did your City journey begin?
"I've been a City fan for as long as I can remember. We didn't have a family team growing up, so my siblings and I kind of fell into it through my godfather. Definitely him to thank for that!"
What's your standout childhood memory as a City fan?
"It has to be the final day of the 2012 season. AGUEROOOO! Half of us had actually left the room in frustration, only to come sprinting back in when we heard the roar. Pure madness."
Do you think Pep Guardiola will leave this summer, and if so, who should replace him?
"I think he'll find it really hard to walk away after such a long stint and such an up-and-down season. But if he does go, I'm a big fan of Xabi Alonso. And like most City fans, I'd love to see Vincent Kompany step in down the line."
Would winning just the FA Cup make this a successful season?
"Given that many called this a 'rebuilding season' after our shaky start, coming away with a trophy would be a success. The fact that we're still breathing down Arsenal's neck with just two games left—while they've supposedly been at their best—shows our quality hasn't slipped. Chelsea haven't looked comfortable in a while, and with our momentum and players like Jérémy Doku stepping up, I'm expecting a comfortable 3-1 win."
