In a move that feels like déjà vu for Oklahoma State fans, the Cowboys are reaching out to a familiar name—this time, it's Dez Bryant Jr. The sophomore wide receiver from Southlake Carroll High School in Texas just received a scholarship offer from his father's alma mater, adding to an already impressive recruiting profile.

Dez Bryant Jr., who stands at 5-foot-9 and weighs 176 pounds, is part of the 2028 recruiting class. His offer from Oklahoma State brings his total to eight, with four coming from Power Four programs including SMU, Texas A&M, and Kentucky. The young receiver's stock has been on the rise, especially after a standout performance at an Under Armour camp in Dallas earlier this year. There, he clocked a blistering 4.46-second 40-yard dash and posted a 9-foot-2 broad jump, numbers that turn heads in any recruiting room. He's also shown his speed on the track, running an 11.12-second 100-meter dash at a meet in Keller, Texas.

For those who remember the original Dez Bryant, the connection is hard to miss. Dez Bryant Sr. was an All-American at Oklahoma State during his sophomore season in 2008, hauling in 87 receptions for 1,480 yards and 19 touchdowns. He went on to become an All-Pro receiver with the Dallas Cowboys, earning three Pro Bowl selections over eight seasons. His NFL career wrapped up after a brief stint with the Baltimore Ravens in 2020, and he made his debut on the College Football Hall of Fame ballot last June.

As Dez Bryant Jr. continues to build his own legacy, this offer from Oklahoma State marks a full-circle moment for the Bryant family. For Cowboys fans, it's a chance to dream about another generation of big plays in Stillwater.
