Nelson, a standout EDGE rusher, announced his decision on Thursday evening via X, expressing his excitement to join his older brother Matthew at the University of Oklahoma.

Ranked as the No. 1 player in Arkansas by On3 and the No. 39 defensive end nationally, Nelson chose the Sooners over a competitive list of offers that included Arkansas, Florida State, Kansas State, North Texas, and South Florida. His commitment follows a visit from Oklahoma defensive ends coach Miguel Chavis, which clearly left a lasting impression.

"God's timing is my timing, and tonight confirmed what I have been feeling," Nelson shared in his announcement.
