No. 13 Oklahoma bounced back from a Game 1 loss to No. 9 Auburn with a 2-1 win over the Tigers on Saturday.

Sooners pitcher Cam Johnson was, as the phrase goes, effectively wild against the Auburn lineup. They couldn't square him up when he was in the zone. Johnson picked up the win after going 5 2/3 innings (113 pitches) while giving up just three hits and striking out four. He also walked four. Auburn went just 1 for 16 with runners on-base.

Meanwhile, Oklahoma had its own problems against Tigers' pitching. A sacrifice fly scored the team's first run in the second inning. Deitan LaChance then hit an RBI single in the fifth to make it 2-0. The way Johnson was going, it was enough.

Auburn pulled one run back in the eighth with a solo home run and put a runner into scoring position in the ninth. But it came with two outs and Kadyn Leon induced a groundout to second base to finish things off.

LaChance and Camden Johnson each had two hits for the Sooners, who didn't have a single extra-base hit on the game. Trey Gambill and Dasan Harris each reached twice, as well, with a hit and a walk apiece.

Oklahoma's win allowed it to keep pace in the Southeastern Conference. The Sooners remain tied with Auburn, Ole Miss and Mississippi State for fourth in the league standings.
