OG Anunoby fully practiced with the New York Knicks on Friday for the first time since injuring his hamstring, moving them closer to having their starting lineup intact for the Eastern Conference finals. The starting forward missed the final two games of the Knicks' second-round sweep of the Philadelphia 76ers after straining his right hamstring late in Game 2. The Knicks would host Game 1 of the East finals on Sunday if Cleveland beats Detroit in Game 6 on Friday night.

The New York Knicks received a massive boost on Friday as starting forward OG Anunoby participated in full practice for the first time since straining his right hamstring. This development brings the team one step closer to fielding their complete starting lineup for the Eastern Conference finals.

Anunoby suffered the injury late in Game 2 of the Knicks' second-round sweep over the Philadelphia 76ers, forcing him to sit out the final two games of that series. While he had joined the team for partial practice sessions earlier this week, Friday marked the first time he went through all drills at full speed. Head coach Mike Brown confirmed that Anunoby completed the entire practice without limitations.

The timing couldn't be better for New York, as they await their opponent in the conference finals. If Cleveland defeats Detroit in Game 6 on Friday night, the Knicks would host Game 1 as early as Sunday. However, if the series extends to a Game 7, Anunoby would have additional recovery time until Tuesday.

Before his injury, Anunoby had been a postseason powerhouse, averaging 21.4 points per game while shooting an impressive 61.9% from the field and 53.8% from beyond the arc. His return would provide a significant offensive and defensive lift as the Knicks look to make a deep playoff run.
