Werder Bremen have kicked off their summer transfer campaign with a promising addition, officially confirming the signing of 19-year-old striker Kenny Quetant from Ligue 1 side Le Havre. The French youngster joins on a free transfer, marking the club's first acquisition for the 2026-27 season.

Born in Paris, Quetant rose through Le Havre's renowned youth academy before making his first-team debut last December. Standing at 1.89 meters, the pacey forward brings a blend of technical ability and physical presence that has already caught the eye of Bundesliga scouts.

"We're really pleased that Kenny, a young and highly talented player with real potential, has chosen to join Werder Bremen," said Peter Niemeyer, the club's head of professional football. Head coach Daniel Thioune echoed the sentiment, adding: "Kenny is a well-rounded, technically gifted striker with plenty of pace. He has an exciting profile and gives us another attacking option for the future."

Quetant has already shown flashes of his potential in Ligue 1, scoring on his home debut in a victory over Angers at the start of 2026. While he has made 10 senior appearances for Le Havre, his last outing came in mid-March as the club battles to secure their top-flight status.

Speaking on his move, the young striker expressed his excitement about the next chapter. "Werder are a really interesting club, and I'm excited for my time in Bremen. I want to be successful with the team and get as much playing time as possible. I'm also looking forward to playing at the Weserstadion," said Quetant after signing a long-term deal.

For Werder Bremen fans, this signing signals a forward-thinking approach as the club invests in young talent with high upside. As the summer window heats up, keep an eye on how Quetant's pace and technical skills translate to the Bundesliga—and don't forget to gear up in the latest Werder Bremen apparel to show your support for the new season!
