Fortuna Düsseldorf have locked down one of their brightest young talents, officially announcing that Elias Egouli has signed a new contract keeping him at the club until June 2029.
The central defender originally joined Fortuna's U-23 squad in the summer of 2024, but his rapid ascent has been nothing short of impressive. After signing his first professional contract in November 2025, Egouli quickly established himself as a key figure in the first team, becoming a regular starter from Matchday 15 onward.
To date, the 20-year-old has made 23 appearances for Fortuna's senior side, in addition to 23 outings for the U-23s in the Regionalliga West. His consistency and composure at the back have turned heads, marking him as a player to watch in German football.
“Eli has developed very positively in his first professional season and has gradually earned his place in our team,” said F95 sporting director Sven Mislintat. “It shouldn't be forgotten that he is still a young player and has great potential for even further development. We are all the more pleased that he has now committed to all possible scenarios.”
For fans of Fortuna Düsseldorf, this extension is a clear signal of intent—investing in youth and building for the long term. As Egouli continues to grow, expect his name to become synonymous with the club's future success.
