NY Knicks Fans Are Coming! New Data Shows Joel Embiid’s Worst Nightmare Will Soon Be Reality

New York Knicks fans are known for their unwavering loyalty, and new data suggests they're about to turn Joel Embiid's worst nightmare into reality. As the Knicks head to Philadelphia for Games 3 and 4 of their playoff series against the 76ers, ticket sales indicate a blue-and-orange takeover at Xfinity Mobile Arena.

According to third-party ticket seller TickPick, a staggering 59% of tickets purchased for Game 3 came from New York and New Jersey, while only 22% originated from Pennsylvania. The trend intensifies for Game 4, with 66% of buyers hailing from the New York area. This echoes a similar scene from two years ago, when Knicks fans flooded the same arena during a playoff matchup—prompting Embiid to famously plead with Sixers fans not to sell their tickets.

"Don't sell your tickets. This is bigger than you. If you need money, I got you," Embiid joked at the time, but his message was clear: home-court advantage matters. Now, with the 76ers down 2-0 in the series, that advantage appears to be slipping away.

The Knicks haven't won an NBA championship since 1973, and their fanbase has endured decades of ups and downs. Yet, there's no denying their passion—or their willingness to travel. From Washington, D.C., to Miami and Atlanta, Knicks fans routinely turn opposing arenas into "Madison Square Garden East." Philadelphia, just a short drive from New York, is no exception.

Of course, the numbers aren't entirely one-sided. Many 76ers fans live in New Jersey, given Philadelphia's proximity to the state, and there are plenty of Philly supporters in New York. Still, with the series shifting to Philadelphia and the Knicks holding a commanding lead, all eyes will be on the crowd come Friday and Sunday. If history is any guide, Embiid may need more than a plea to keep the home fans in their seats.
