Blake Corum is making a strong case as one of the NFL's most underrated running backs—and the numbers back it up.

After a standard rookie redshirt year with the Los Angeles Rams, Corum broke out in 2025. His combination of speed, patience, and vision gave the Rams an explosive backfield threat they haven't had since Cam Akers. More importantly, Corum and Kyren Williams formed the team's first true one-two punch since Todd Gurley and C.J. Anderson. Together, they racked up over 2,300 yards from scrimmage in the regular season and added more than 400 yards in three postseason games.

But here's where it gets interesting: among all running backs with 100-plus carries and at least eight carries per game in 2025, Corum ranked fifth in yards per carry—trailing only explosive names like De'Von Achane, James Cook, Derrick Henry, and Bijan Robinson. He also finished second in success rate, just behind his own teammate Kyren Williams, and landed in the top ten for missed tackles forced. Those are elite efficiency numbers for a player still flying under the radar.

With the Rams planning to increase Corum's workload and lean into multiple tight end formations, the offense is shifting back to a style that mirrors his dominant days at Michigan. There, Corum capped his college career by powering the Wolverines to a National Championship, rushing for 1,245 yards and 27 touchdowns in his final season.

If the Rams can replicate that formula, Corum might just be the engine that drives them to a Super Bowl run. For a player already proving he belongs among the league's best, the spotlight is finally starting to shine a little brighter.
