The Denver Nuggets have made one thing crystal clear following their first-round playoff exit: Nikola Jokic isn't going anywhere.

After winning it all in 2023, the Nuggets have hit a wall. A second-round exit in 2024, another second-round exit in 2025, and now a disappointing first-round loss this season have made it clear that something needs to change. But according to team president and governor Josh Kroenke, that change won't involve their three-time MVP.

"I don't want to be masked in my frustration for how the season ended," Kroenke said Friday. "I think that anybody who was a fan of the Denver Nuggets should be frustrated. And anything that a fan feels, I probably feel a thousand X. So I think everything is gonna be on the table, outside of trading Nikola."

And he means it. With the Nuggets holding several high-value trade assets, the front office is expected to shake things up this summer. Players like Aaron Gordon, Jamal Murray, Cameron Johnson, and Christian Braun are reportedly on the trade block as Denver looks to reload around their superstar center.

Jokic, meanwhile, is 99.9% staying put. But there's one big decision looming. The 31-year-old is eligible for a massive four-year, $293 million extension this offseason. While it's expected he'll sign on the dotted line, any hesitation would spark serious speculation about his long-term future in Denver.

Especially after Jokic himself admitted the Nuggets are "far" from title contention following their season-ending loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on April 30. Still, all signs point to the big man committing to the franchise that drafted him and leading the charge for one more run at the Larry O'Brien Trophy.
