The stage is set for a major summer showdown, and Jaron 'Boots' Ennis is already projecting an aura of total confidence. Following the opening press conference for his June 27th title challenge against champion Xander Zayas, Boots didn't mince words about the impending clash.

Boots believes the promotional grind itself will work against the young champion. "I know for a fact all this is going to get to him," Ennis stated. "He's going to be burnt out from doing this PPV stuff all day, media, doing this, doing that. Fight week is going to drain him." He even suggested Zayas, who requested the later fight date, is currently far from fighting weight, hinting at a potential lack of focus.

When questioned about Zayas's potential fight strategy, Boots's response was dismissive, underscoring his belief in a significant class difference. "I don't care what he do," he said. "It's nothing really he can do to stop what I got going on right now. I'm super locked-in, super focused, and whatever he brings to the table we're going to be ready."

This isn't the first time Ennis has faced questions about his opposition. Addressing whether a win over the 23-year-old Zayas would be fully credited, Boots pointed to his recent victory over Eimantas Stanionis. "Everybody was trying to say the fight was 50/50, then when I beat Stanionis everybody was like 'oh, he's a bum.' I don't really care [if I don't get the credit]."
