ACCIDENT — No. 4 Northern scored two runs in the second and three in the fifth in Monday's 5-1 win over Hancock.

The Huskies (9-6) scored on three consecutive hits in the fifth.

Rain Ritchey tripled, Demi Ross (Lock Haven commit) doubled and Bailey Champlin singled to stretch Northern's lead to 5-0 after five.

Kylie Oxford led the Huskies going 2 for 3 with two RBIs.

Champlin got the win with five shutout frames, allowing four hits with no walks and six punchouts.

Kaydance Gaither paced the Panthers, going 3 for 3.

Northern hosts Mountain Ridge (7-8) on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.

OAKLAND — Adeline Wilson drove in five runs, leading Southern over Tucker County on Monday.

The Maryland Eastern-Shore commit had a RBI single in the third and drove in two runs on a groundout in the fourth.

Wilson allowed three hits and two walks with six strikeouts across three frames for the Rams (7-8).

The Mountain Lions committed eight errors which led to five runs.

Southern hosts Mountain Ridge on Tuesday before heading to No. 1 Allegany (14-1) on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.

MOOREFIELD, W.Va. — Moorefield only needed three innings to run-rule Berkeley Springs on Monday.

The Yellow Jackets (12-12) scored six in the first inning and nine in the third.

Moorefield scored five runs off seven Berkeley Springs errors.

Brenna See led the Jackets with two hits and three RBIs.

Annie Barr allowed two hits and four walks with four strikeouts.

Moorefield heads to South Harrison on Tuesday before hosting Strasburg on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
