DURHAM, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Duke guard Isaiah Evans is taking the next step in his basketball career.
Two years after winning a state championship with North Meck, Evans has declared for the NBA Draft, he announced on social media Wednesday.

The 6-foot-6 “Slim” achieved third team All-ACC honors after finishing second on the Blue Devils with 15 points per game behind National Player of the Year Cameron Boozer. He shot 43 percent from the field with a team-high 101 3-pointers made.

A 5-star recruit and two-time NC Player of the Year out of North Meck, Evans was part of Duke teams that won the last two ACC championships and reached the Final Four a year ago.
During a fourth-round playoff game in 2023, he scored 62 points against rival Chambers.
