The North Carolina Courage just received a major boost to their lineup. Forward Olivia Wingate has been officially removed from the season-ending injury (SEI) list, clearing the way for her return to the pitch. She will be available for selection this Saturday when the Courage take on the Chicago Stars at First Horizon Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park.
Wingate has been sidelined since 2024, missing the entirety of the 2025 season and the early portion of the 2026 campaign. Her absence has been felt in the attacking third, where the Courage have managed just nine goals so far this season—the fifth-fewest in the league. That lack of firepower has contributed to their current 13th-place standing in the table.
With Wingate back in the mix, head coach Sean Nahas gains a dynamic option up front who can stretch defenses and create chances. Her return couldn't come at a better time as the Courage look to climb the standings and reignite their offense down the stretch. Fans at WakeMed Soccer Park will be eager to see if she can make an immediate impact against Chicago.
