Jon Rahm isn't one to dwell on the past—even when that past includes a disappointing Masters performance and lingering questions about his future. As he prepares for his 10th PGA Championship start, the Spanish star is focused on what's ahead, not the noise surrounding his decision to join LIV Golf.

Last year at the PGA Championship, Rahm finished T-8 and briefly challenged Scottie Scheffler for the lead. That kind of form is exactly what he'll be looking to rediscover this week at Valhalla. But during his Tuesday press conference, the conversation quickly shifted from his game to the uncertain landscape of professional golf.

When Rahm signed with LIV, many believed his arrival would be the catalyst that finally brought the PGA Tour and the Saudi-backed league to a merger agreement. Instead, talks stalled, and LIV now faces an uncertain future beyond 2026. For the man who was the circuit's biggest signing and remains its most talented player, the obvious question emerged: Does he regret it?

"I was never thinking I was going to be any sort of weight that would tip the scales," Rahm said. "That was never an argument in my mind." He dismissed the idea of second-guessing himself, adding, "I've made a lot of decisions in my life, and I've never gone back thinking, 'Oh, had I known this, I would do X and Y different.' I could do that about 15 different golf shots on the golf course every single day. If I lived my life like that as a golfer, I would be a very pessimistic person."

Rahm has remained tight-lipped about what he would do if LIV ceases to exist after 2026. For now, he's keeping his head down and his eyes on the prize—a major championship that could silence the doubters and remind everyone why he was considered the biggest catch in golf's civil war.
