It took a while, but the Los Angeles Rams finally addressed the wide receiver position in the sixth round of the 2026 draft. They traded up 10 spots for Miami wideout CJ Daniels, taking him at No. 197 overall on Saturday.
Daniels is an intriguing prospect thanks to his strong hands and physicality at the catch point, making difficult grabs in traffic with regularity in college. He'll compete with Konata Mumpfield and Jordan Whittington for snaps as the No. 3 receiver, while potentially giving the Rams a replacement for Davante Adams later on.
Here's how social media reacted to the Rams' selection of Daniels in the sixth round.
CJ Daniels is a solid depth selection for the #Rams at WR.
I love the #Rams selection of CJ Daniels! Spoke about him in my draft gems video. A+ pick! Crazy hands, blocking ability I think this was a steal personally.
Very notable with the CJ Daniels pick. Rams WR Konata Mumpfield struggled at the catch point last year and in contested catch situations. Succeeded 1-of-7 opportunities. Daniels has a contested catch rate of 75.8% over the past three years.
CJ Daniels going to a great situation with the Rams.. learn behind Puka and Davamte Adams

After trading 207, 251, and 252 for pick 197, Rams take WR CJ Daniels. Lot of people excited for this pick, both because of the position and the player. Personally, would have stuck to 207 for Eli Heidenreich, but excited to add a weapon!@JKBOGEN @thealexiskraft @RamsBrothers pic.twitter.com/GYVbZD4ONd
I like CJ Daniels to the Rams! He can be a nice piece to their receiver room!
