The Atlanta Falcons made their first pick under their new regime on Friday night, selecting Clemson cornerback Avieon Terrell with No. 48 overall in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft. While the team had other, more pressing needs, the value was undeniable.

Terrell isn't just a great value (ranked No. 23 on PFF's big board), but he is the younger brother of Falcons cornerback A.J. Terrell. It's a great situation for all parties involved. The Falcons get a potential long-term starter, and Terrell gets to learn alongside his brother in a scheme that fits him well.

The Falcons' next pick is No. 79 overall in Round 3.
