The 2027 NFL Draft may still be a year away, but the buzz is already building—especially around the quarterback class. On the heels of the 2026 draft, NFL scouts are turning their attention to the next wave of signal-callers, and early projections are starting to take shape.

It’s never easy to predict who will rise to the top this far out. Just last year, names like Cade Klubnik, Drew Allar, and Garrett Nussmeier were expected to be first-rounders in the 2026 draft. But as the dust settles, a clear top tier is emerging for 2027: Oregon’s Dante Moore, Texas’ Arch Manning, and Ohio State’s Julian Sayin.

While Manning brings the star power of his family name, it’s Moore who’s catching the eyes of NFL evaluators. In a recent anonymous poll of 10 NFL scouts conducted by ESPN, Moore was ranked as the top quarterback in the class. The voting system awarded three points for a first-place vote, two for second, and one for third, and Moore came out ahead of both Manning and Sayin.

Of course, there’s still plenty of game film to analyze and a full season of college football ahead. But early indications suggest Moore is a frontrunner for the No. 1 overall pick next year. For now, he’s the name to watch as the 2027 draft class begins to take shape.
