The NFL has officially announced its nine international games for the 2026 season, and Arizona Cardinals fans will have to wait a bit longer for a chance to see their team take the field overseas. While the full regular-season schedule drops Thursday, the league and its broadcast partners have already revealed some marquee matchups—and none of them feature the Cardinals.

This marks another year without an international appearance for Arizona, who last played abroad in 2022 against the 49ers in Mexico City. The 2026 slate is packed with exciting destinations, from Melbourne to Madrid, but the Cardinals are notably absent from the lineup.

The nine international games include: San Francisco 49ers vs. Los Angeles Rams in Melbourne (Week 1), Baltimore Ravens vs. Dallas Cowboys in Rio de Janeiro (Week 3), Indianapolis Colts vs. Washington Commanders in London (Week 4), Philadelphia Eagles vs. Jacksonville Jaguars in London (Week 5), Houston Texans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars in London (Week 6), Pittsburgh Steelers vs. New Orleans Saints in Paris (Week 7), Cincinnati Bengals vs. Atlanta Falcons in Madrid (Week 9), New England Patriots vs. Detroit Lions in Munich (Week 10), and Minnesota Vikings vs. San Francisco 49ers in Mexico City (Week 11).

It's not entirely surprising that Arizona was left off the international schedule. The team is in a transition period, having parted ways with longtime quarterback Kyler Murray, and they're projected to field a young, developing roster in 2026. With limited star power and a rebuilding phase underway, the Cardinals simply don't have the same global draw as some of the league's more established brands.

That said, there were opportunities for Arizona to be included. The Rams, Cowboys, Saints, and 49ers—all teams on the Cardinals' 2026 away schedule—are featured in international games. But the league opted for other matchups, leaving Cardinals fans to watch from home.

For now, Arizona will have to focus on building a competitive team and hope for a spot on the 2027 international slate. Until then, fans can still show their support by repping their Cardinals gear and dreaming of future trips abroad.
