The Arizona Cardinals have two selections on Day 2 of the 2026 NFL draft. They have the second pick of the second round, No. 34 overall, and the first pick of the third round at No. 65 overall. They used their first-round pick on running back Jeremiyah Love.
ESPN's Matt Miller has a Day 2 mock draft, and he has the Cardinals addressing the quarterback position in Round 2.
He has them going with Miami's Carson Beck in the second round.
Is this a reach for Beck? It is, based on predraft rankings of him, but the Cardinals are in quarterback purgatory and need to take swings to find a capable starter. Beck's excellent play in the College Football Playoff changed the narrative on him, and there are believers around the NFL in his ability as a future starter.
We expect the Cardinals to select a quarterback at some point. It would be a shock if they went with Beck in Round 2. He is, though, a solid option to add as a potential backup beyond this coming season.
In Round 3, Miller projects the Cardinals take Memphis tackle Travis Burke, who is nearly 6-9 and weighs 325 pounds with arms longer than 34 inches. He was a four-year starter, one at Gardner-Webb, two at FIU and last year at Memphis. He has played both tackle positions.
The second round of the draft begins Friday at 4 p.m. Arizona time.
