There were very specific needs the Cleveland Browns wanted to address going into Round 1 of the 2026 NFL draft. Their greatest two, offensive tackle and receiver, were addressed when GM Andrew Berry selected Utah OT Spencer Fano with the #9 pick, and then grabbed KC Concepcion of Texas A&M with the #24 slot.

Kudos to Berry, who nailed last year’s draft as well. However, that was only the first round. Berry still has a lot to do going forward with rounds 2 and 3 on Friday, and rounds 4-7 all day Saturday.

On to Round 2. The Browns hired an offensive-minded coach, and need good players on that side of the ball. Cleveland owns the seventh pick in this round at pick #39, and then the sixth pick in Round 3 (#70), which they received from the Kansas City Chiefs, plus the 10th selection (#74).

Who is the best available coming up in Round 2? Round 3?

McCoy is coming off a very bad knee injury that made him miss all of 2025. Teams have been scared off by this issue lingering. The Browns do need a #3 cornerback, and the value is there if they have done their due diligence about McCoy’s health. He runs a 4.4 in the 40.

The Browns will need to take another receiver in this draft, and if Boston is sitting there at #39, Berry needs to run to the podium with this selection. Cleveland can’t pass over Boston’s talent, size, and 4.6 speed. Long arms and good YAC numbers because of his length. Hands are legit. Adjusts very well to back shoulder throws and is a good ball tracker.

Cleveland has a need for a good tackling safety, and that is McNeil-Warren. Came from a lesser conference, but is an exceptional tackler and has great length at 6’-4”, 201 pounds. 88% in pass coverage and great in run defense.

By taking Pregnon, the Browns could get an offensive tackle plus an offensive guard all in one swoop. He has incredible lower-body power and did not allow a single sack in 2024. Technical consistency in pass protection and good hand placement. 90% in pass blocking and 89% with his run blocking, so you know he will work out as a viable starter sooner than later, and the O-Line now has a young core for years to come.

Elite speed at 4.39 right off. The Browns need a third corner who can cover man, and that fits Terrell to a tee. Exceptional zone eyes. Eight forced fumbles is his superpower. His ball tracking is receiver-quality. Nasty competitor and has good versatility in press, off, zone match, or pattern match. Good run defender as well.

Which player in the 2025 NFL draft was Berry’s best? The Round 2 pick of UCLA linebacker Carson Schwesinger. Rodriguez is an exceptional tackler and would provide havoc if he were taken to pair with Schwesinger. Finishes through contact with active technical hands. His superpower is also the forced fumble. Had three in three practices at the Senior Bowl alone. Line him up opposite Schwesinger and watch fireworks every game.

Offensive guard is a critical position. The franchise needs some young blood at the guard position who can start if needed this upcoming season. Guard Gennings Dunker of Iowa is a very large man who dominates inside. He looks like a lumberjack with sawed-off legs, long flowing red hair, and a beard. Great guy and well-spoken, but on the field, this is one nasty dude.

Fields is the best option for a team that’s lacking size and ball skills at the “X” receiver position. Long reach with good length, caught everything at this year’s Senior Bowl. Lives on contested targets. Not a speed demon, but has good quickness and runs great routes. Reliable hands and attacks the football at its peak.

Has good speed for such a big man (4.7). Long arms and reach, who has a full route tree. Very good YAC numbers and an excellent intermediate target. Is a genuine vertical threat. Versatility in that he can line up in the slot, in-line, and wide. Good blocker and reads zone coverage.

Hurst of Georgia State was one of the best receivers from the Senior Bowl practice week. Hurst has good height and runs a 4.42 in the 40, and consistently works on his route running. Large frame with long arms, and is a viable deep threat. Good Red Zone target with lower-body explosiveness.
