One day left. So far we’re establishing a tradition for Dan Morgan-led drafts. The first round is a reliable, if a little surprising pick who unquestionably improves the team. The second round will feature a trade that more head-scratching than slam dunk, while the third brings home a good player that a lot of us feel could have been taken later. Did I miss anything from last night?

If last year is anything to go off of then today is going to feature a handful of players who will make surprising contributions as rookies despite their lowlier draft statuses. Fingers crossed that this year’s Lathan Ransom is also actually a safety.
