The NFL is taking its show global like never before, unveiling a massive nine-game international schedule for 2026 that spans seven cities and four continents. Leading the charge are the San Francisco 49ers, who will bookend this historic slate with matchups in Melbourne and Mexico City.

Kicking things off, the 49ers will open the season against NFC West rival Los Angeles Rams at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground on September 10. This Thursday night clash—streamed live on Netflix—marks the league's first-ever game in Australia, with kickoff set for Friday morning local time. The 49ers will then head to Mexico City in Week 11 for a Sunday night showdown against the Minnesota Vikings on November 22, playing as the home team at a venue that's become a fan favorite for international football.

London remains the NFL's most popular international destination, hosting three games this season. The Jacksonville Jaguars make history by playing consecutive home games abroad: first facing the Philadelphia Eagles at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on October 11, then taking on AFC South rival Houston Texans at Wembley Stadium on October 18. The Washington Commanders will also host the Indianapolis Colts at Tottenham on October 4.

The league is breaking new ground with a debut game in Paris, where the New Orleans Saints will host the Pittsburgh Steelers on October 25. Meanwhile, the Detroit Lions welcome the New England Patriots in Munich on November 15, and the Dallas Cowboys head to Rio de Janeiro to face the Baltimore Ravens on September 27. Rounding out the international tour, the Atlanta Falcons will host the Cincinnati Bengals in Madrid on November 8.

With eight stadiums across four continents, this 2026 schedule is the NFL's most ambitious yet—and Commissioner Roger Goodell has hinted at even more growth, with a goal of 16 international games per season. For fans and players alike, it's a thrilling era of football without borders.
