The countdown to the next generation of Philadelphia Eagles football is officially on. Following a busy offseason that saw the team draft eight promising players and sign several undrafted free agents, the NFL has confirmed that the Eagles will hold their rookie minicamp on May 1-2.

This two-day camp, part of the league's Phase One offseason program, will focus on meetings, strength and conditioning, and physical rehabilitation—giving the new faces a crucial first taste of the Eagles' system. It's a pivotal moment for the franchise, as General Manager Howie Roseman has once again been praised for assembling a class that blends athleticism, versatility, and big-game experience.

Philadelphia's draft strategy this year emphasized upside and leadership, particularly on the defensive back end. But the most notable shift came at wide receiver, where the Eagles traded up to select Makai Lemon—a move that signals the end of the A.J. Brown era in Philadelphia. The writing is on the wall as the team looks to reshape its offensive identity.

According to Kent Lee Platte of RAS.com, the Eagles boast one of the most explosive draft classes in the league. RAS, or Relative Athletic Score, measures a player's athletic testing results against historical averages for their size. With their first five picks, Roseman added five talented, versatile offensive players to Sean Mannion's unit. The top two selections are projected as future stars and likely 2025 starters, while the entire group offers elite skill sets with the potential to develop into critical contributors.

For Eagles fans, this minicamp marks the first real glimpse of the team's new core—and a reason to get excited about what's ahead.
